If you guys (and gals) have any product questions or suggestions, please feel free to let me know. I have been designing ProTec cases for a few years, and I am do the majority of the case 'fixes' and adjustments to the production models.
Nice meeting you all. |
Jeff,
I just wanted to say that I still think the same about my ProTec case now as I did when I made my original post over on page 1 of this thread last November. The ProTec combo case is, in my opinion, THE best bang for the buck that you can get out of a combo case. It holds and protects two horns, 4 mouthpieces, a 1" music binder, my plexiglass sound shield, plus a plethora of other gig accessories such as pencils, a tuner, batteries (for my mic and in-ears pack) valve oil and anything else that I can think of that I might need for the gig. It holds all of that stuff with room to spare. I still think that it is the most practical and usable case that I have ever owned, to include my all-leather tripple Reunion Blues bag.
One thing though. Paul Artola came over yesterday and wanted to see if his Lawler Flugel would fit in my combo case because he had heard so many great comments about the ProTec combo case. Unfortunately, the Lawler flugel does not fit. It is too tall. I suppose that he could pull the foam blocks out and "adjust" for size by cutting them down a bit, but when he left yesterday, I think he was still at a loss for just what to do about his combo case dilema. I mean, why buy a case that you know beforehand is not going to fit your horn?
But that's HIS problem.

The case works like a champ for me!
