| tptdoofus; interesting question. I'd read in another forum about a potential problem with stability. I've not loaded up the pocket and probably won't (I have a shoulderbag that I use to carry my music folders, mutes (6?), horn stands, tuner etc. in so there's no point.
I set the case upright on the garage (flat concrete) floor and tried tipping it "front and back" with the handle. The case is quite stable in all 4 directions of tipping but IS noticeably less stable in the "forward" (towards the pocket) direction. I've already emailed Jeff Hawley at Protec and suggested that they consider using some shims and find out what additional "leg length" is needed to balance the case "perfectly" with the pocked loaded up.
As is, however, I find it pretty darn stable... certainly moreso than it looks. |
