Seeing that you've played on both coasts , I'd like you ( and other new veiwers ) to look at a couple topics / threads that I wrote/started a while ago in the Jazz/ Commercial section. It's about the East coast players and the sound that was associated with the trumpet players on that side of the continent.
Seeing your a younger pro player on the NY scene. Maybe you can add to the discussion.
Here's the links:

All of these had long discussions and alot of info was given by players on both coasts.
Anyone that hadn't read these yet want to speak, please feel free... or talk about a sound that comes from a different area.
Example:
Does the Miami / Orlando scene have a different sound / playing concept ?
Alot of fine players come out and work in that area of the country, plus alot of the older NY pro's seem to retire down south and keeep playing.
Here in the Calicchio section, I like to discuss alot of different aspects of trumpet playing, not only equipment and everyone is welcome no matter what they play on to participate.
