Yes, J, Horn Haven has a broad selection of GR and Marc. mpcs. Call Dave Leonnig and speak to him today. You can either go to his place and try a few, or he could take a few to Bert's studio for you to try with Bert listening (no pressure). Depending on the mpc you're coming from and the trumpet you're using, the 65,66 and 67 ranges offer a broad set of possibilities. The MX is a great legit mpc with potential to give a really vibrant, resonant sound. Different players may get the same effect with an M, MX or L. It really depends on the player and horn.

Bert plays the 65MX and a Shew 1.5, I believe. On flugel he uses the 65FD.

BTW, I'm not affiliated with Horn Haven, other than as a customer and friend. If you see Bert between now and Saturday, tell him Dave Stephens and the rest of the PitPops are hoping he'll sit in at Enchilada's after his other gig (I can always use a little help in the 3d and 4th sets). We're all very pleased to hear that he's regained his health and playing again.

Dave
