Hi Ingrid,
Just finished watching a feature of you on Arts & Minds. You sounded fantastic as usual. I have a couple of questions.

I know you play Bach trumpets , but what model specifically? Also what flugel do you play?

Why is the school music scene in Nanaimo B.C. so strong? It seems like that area produces many great players.

Once again, enjoyed the feature on you!

I think I read that Ingrid plays Monette now.

I'm still playing on my NY Bach and my Quesnon flugel. Dave Monette has made me some absolutely FAB new mouthpieces for both and I'm having a blast with them.
I am about to start shedding on a new horn that he has graciously designed for me.
More info on that as I get used to playing on it.
Re:Nanaimo. We had and have a lot of great teachers who are also great players. THe community support system has always been strong and, thanks to school board (at least when I was in school) every junior high and high school had jazz band in the full-time curriculum. That has sadly changed in recent years...off to relax now after a month on the road! Will put journal updates on my site in the next week. happy summer IJ
