| Re: Ingrid's Performance at ITG Next time say hey St Charles!! :) Hi all ITG-ers. I apologize for not hanging out longer but between lugging the rhodes back to NY (in the screaming rain) and the ringing in my ears from the lovely fellow who aimed the bell of an Edwards horn at me and let it rip, an early departure was my only option...thanks to all who enjoyed our music (I certainly did) and the bootleg that Jon made came out great! Will post on my site soon. Back to the shed to get ready for a gig with my sister in Vermont. best,IJ Thanks PAT! Where-ever you are!! You sounded great on the Stanley Clarke blues that I forgot to announce-yet another Environmental theme I choose to throw into the mix- 'Why Wait'! Ing |

those rhodes are beasts! i had to haul my pianist's full rig (chorus and vibrato - in excellent condition) around for 6 months when i used it in my band. Have you seen this yet? Rhodes Music Corporation: 2007 Mark 7 Rhodes Piano thought you might be interested peace. -Kelly Last edited by krossum : 06-07-2007 at 04:23 PM. Reason: incorrect link | |

| New Friend | Re: Ingrid's Performance at ITG I was in the audience for Ingrid’s performance at ITG. She was, as always, fantastic. As many of you probably already know she has a sound to die for. Her original numbers were really fun to listen to and follow. I mention, “follow”, because it’s not always obvious (to me) where the music is sometimes going until you realize at some point that the music is in a different place than before. Really fun stuff. Also, I loved those little complex spaghetti lines she would add at dramatic points occasionally in some of the tunes. Oh, and PH sounded great and was having fun. My only beef is specifically with the ITG audience, many of whom clearly did not come to listen. Interestingly, I was in attendance with this same audience for the 7:00 headline show previous to Ingrid’s where they were absolutely respectful and attentive throughout the program. Then they show up at the 9:00 jazz venue and act like they’re at a local happy hour bar. I mean, these idiots couldn’t shut up. The music might have been a little hipper than they’re accustomed to at the bar back home but it was clearly just muzak to them. Sad. Larry |
