![]() | Re: Bach Strad / Dillon Music Trumpet Contest [quote=Vulgano Brother;373540]Ahh, a contest with Australian Rules--how about if the contest consisted of re-writing Monty Python's Bruce's Philosopher Song substituting famous trumpeters from Australia? Bruce's Philosopher Song. unquote] Adelaide University - yes I know a Nuclear Chemist from Adelaide Uni, and this is the sort of poem he may have been involved in. Adelaide is very close to one of Australia's greatest wine producing areas so drinking song and such stuff are de riguer. And Adelaide is a thirsty place. Australian Rules, VB, are a peculiar set of standards (and the name of the game) for a football code loosley based on Gaelic Football and centered in Melbourne, Victoria. (It's not Rugby - which is the only real code). Three cheers for Monty Python and the repetitive use of brass instruments in both their soundtracks and other imagery.

![]() | Re: Bach Strad / Dillon Music Trumpet Contest Vulgano B, Take a lttle break - search out an Aussie wine (I prefer the reds - all of them - but particularly a Merlot blend) - drink, enjoy. (Hell, you've caught me being serious). Australia sells A LOT of wine in France, and all over the world including California - I may be biaised but like a new Trumpet, you should try many brands, before you fall in love with Aussie wines. What else could you expect from "The Land Downunder" where the beer, too is fabulous, .................... and we have Vegemite.
