This is an interesting question ... and the answer is yes, it can be done.
I admire the look of copper, contrasting with silver, gold, brass, nickel.
Copper lends itself towards a slight darkening of the tone-quality of the horn, and you may notice a smoother "mellowness". I would think the copper-plating might be somewhat different than the solid copper of something like Conn's "Coprion" bell concept.
If you elect to have this done, please keep us informed as to cost and results, including some "before-&-after" pictures.
