| One very bad joke for this weekend's gigs Gentle sightreaders,
Since it's important to keep your section awake during the rests here's a classsic groaner for the weekend.
Spielberg decides that he wants to make a movie about the great composers (stop me if you've heard ths one) and so, he calls up Nicholson, Hanks, Gibson, and Swarzenegger for a meeting to do his casting.
"So, Jack", says Spielberg, "... whom do want to play?"
"Well, I'll tell ya", he drawls, "I've always like Wagner's music and I think I can pull off the dark side of the man. So, yeah... Wagner."
"Done", says Spielberg. "Tom? What about you?"
"Gosh, I've always dug Brahms... it's great, meaningful stuff".
"Well, okay..." Spielberg says reluctantly. "Hmm, with proper makeup we might be able to pull it off. Fine, it'll be a challenge but you've got the role. Mel?"
"Ohh, Mozart, yeah, Mozart... that magnificent, troubled life of his, so many sides to him. That's what I want: to play Mozart!"
"Mel, you'll be great! Arnold?"
All eyes turn to Arnold who has been looking away the whole time, lost in thought. He slowly turns his head towards the group and answers,
" I'll be Bach ."
Have a good weekend.
