I agree with Dave.

I ordered a set of heavy caps for my Lawler. The more acclimated I become to this horn, the more apparent the differences are between the heavy and normal caps.


It's really night and day. When I have all 3 heavies, the horn slots very tight and secure. There is hardly any play or bend with the notes at all. It also slots securely all the way up to G/A above high C. I like this for legit playing.

Put the normal caps on, and this puts the horn in turbo mode. The horn becomes even easier to play, and the slots are very loose. Endurance is really good with this setup. I like this gear for lead/jazz combo playing.
