I have used a Yamaha 631 with great success and that is probably going to be your best bet for a used flugel, however, if you can find a used Kanstul and the price is right, get that. I have the Kanstul CCF 925 and although I probably could have afforded the Signature Flugel, this one is fantastic and is probably all I'll ever need. |
Which just goes to prove that no two horns are identical! I do agree 110% with you on the Kanstul... they are really nice horns, especially if you can get a good, used one. Ever since I discovered Kanstul (via a Besson International trumpet), I've appreciated their quality, attention to detail and customer service. I think they are the greatest "secret" out there and just wish that the mass market outside the drum and marching corps would learn of them... they'd give Selmer and Yamaha a real run for their money!
