Hi Manny,
I must come clean and admit that I am just a lowley fourth year trumpet major at a little ol' university in Canada town, eh. So I openly admit to not hearing much of you or any Orchestra from the States. This being said, I also do not really know who all plays in what orchestras (I know, I know...for shame)
But I have recently been in contact with one Charles Lazarus in regards to lessons and such. (I found out through Chuck Daellenbach that he is the newest addition to the Canadian Brass). I also have heard that Charles has played in the Minnesota Symphony. I was just wondering if you two have played together and if you could give me any info that could help me out in a lesson.
I may be able to arrange a lesosn with Charles in or around Aug. 5 (Canadian Brass concert in Ottawa, ON) but that depends if he has the time. I was told by Chuck that he is a breathing specialist. This works out great because I wanted a "breathing lesson". (Which is why I contacted Chuck).
I was just wondering if you could fill me in on what kind of teacher he is.
Thanks, Manny
Eric Sproul
