talcito has a spectacular aura about
Solid Stainless Steel Mouthpieces

A good friend of mine and top call trumpet player in New York had mentioned to me about two years ago that he was interested in having someone make a Solid Stainless Steel mouthpiece for him.

When he first mentioned this to me my initial thought was that he was drinking too much of his kids coolaide .

It took him about a year to find someone interested in the project. Most were not interested because they said the material would be too hard on their machinery.

He has been very happy with the results.

Yesterday I came across www.loudmouthpieces.com.

This outfit makes solid stainless steel mouthpieces for the lower brass. They claim the same benefits of this material as does my friend.

Has anyone on this site had any experience with this material on mouthpieces. Is the manufacturing problem the only reason they have not been commonly used?
