Yamaha Xeno "Shotblast" finish. --> GREAT

Hi

One month ago, I've bought a Yamaha 8335RGS in sliver Shotblast finish at WoodBrass shop in Paris.
I've tried around 10 differents models before choosing this one that suit well to me:
Bach Stradivarius, LT, LR
Yamaha 6310Z and 8310Z
Yamaha 8335RG
Challenger II (silver Bell)
Selmer Chorus
Jupiter 1000
All in different finish, lacquer and silver
My final choice is Yamaha 8335RGS, and I take the silver shotblast because I find it particulary beautiful. I find the sound very deep, and I can change it very easily from dark to very open. This trumpet is easy to play. Using it, I extend a little bit my range, from E to G (after High C), but from my point of view, it's not due to the trumpet but to the mouthpiece. I use the 16C4GP delivered instead of my old bach 1 1/2C in a very bad state. I've planned to buy a 14A4a mouthpiece to see if I can reach the double high C with it
In fact, since I've my new toy, I play more every day then I do before, so we can can consider that buying such a great instrument is extended you range, but it is the case with any good trumpet you choose !!!
