Mager

Wilmer mentioned the most important name in the C trumpet discussion. George Mager was the principal in Boston before Voisin. It was the French custom to use C trumpets, and Boston in those days was leaning towards that style in general, which is why they engaged people like Mager and Voisin, (pere et fils).
Vacchiano caught on to the idea as well, as wwell as being involved in the introduction of the F trumpet for Brandenburg 2, and between the two of them they influenced a nmuber of players, among them Bud Herseth. Glantz held out on Bb. So did Murray Karpilovsky, an almost forgotten name nowadays. I got to play his 1910 model Besson Meha Bb in his basement in Elmont.
I think Broiles stuck to Bb for a long time, but ended up using all different kinds of trumpets.
In Cleveland, the first player used a C, but David Zauder, the 2nd player used a Bb. He discussed this a few years ago in an Interview in the ITG journal.
