| Rafael Mendez is the original trumpet performer of the Moto Perpetuo. The piece intends for both circular breathing AND double tonguing for that entire 4 minutes—without interruption (studio trickery claims are hearsay anyway). ;)
If you guys are really impressed by Wynton's recording of the Moto Perpetuo, find the one done by Rafael Mendez. An important distinction is that Wynton slurs the piece, while Mendez actually double tongues his way through.
I think Sergei Nakariakov also has a recording out of the Moto, and some say that it takes the cake. I don't know if Allen Vizzutti has recorded it, though he's undoubtedly capable and this kinda piece is right up his ally.
