| I played a large bore Large Yellow a few months ago back in the old workshop in Dunstable, I was really impressed, but it wasn't for me and the type of playing I do. I've also played the Medium Classic, so it should be incredible with that bell if what Gary says about them is true. I knew Leigh was experimenting with bells and flares in different metals and thicknesses, but I've never seen one as 'unusual' as that one. Looks great.
About the similarity with the CBW horns. From what I've seen, there's precious little that's never been tried before in the trumpet world, it's 'just' a question of having the skill, knowledge and persistence to put it all together in a way that works. I'm sure Wayne Tanabe has all that. The guys at Eclipse do too. Actually, I didn't look at it and think 'it looks like a CBW horn, I thought 'it looks just like mine but with a funny bell'.
