| Learning modern rep.
I'm starting to prepare the Gunther Schuller "Concerto" and was wondering if you use a certain method of learning modern music on trumpet. I've worked up "Nobody Knows de trouble I see" and Jolivet's "Heptade", but I'd like to get more into modern works. I asked Hakan Hardenberger, and he learns the trumpet part on piano first to solidify the pitches in his brain/ear first. Any other interesting methods that you use? |
