My 6-year old son has developed an interest in trumpet. I gave him my old Yamaha, and he practices every day, and has a range up to 2nd line g or 2nd space a.
He said to me today "When I grow up, I'm going to play 1st trumpet and get paid like that guy you showed me." (I went to the Monette site and showed him the clip of Manny playing Alpine and Mahler 8).
Yup... Daddy's proud.
