CDs

just a couple of CDs that come to mind:

Andrea Bocelli; Sentimento....the brilliance of bel canto music. trumpet at its most primitive form...the human voice.

Maurice Murphy (former Principal LSO) ; the lighter side of Maurice Murphy (performing with the Leyland DAF band)....some of the most musical playing i have heard.

Ed Carroll; All the King's trumpets....because i like to hear my teacher work.

german brass; Bach 2000: the way an ensemble should sound like (mathias hoff is awesome)

Maurice Andre'; swinging baroque-trompettissimo (baroque music with a swing section and pretty cool Ad Libs)...because he shows us there not just one way to play the repertoire.

Gerard Schwarz; New Music for trumpet....when youre stranded on an island you need music to confirm you really are going crazy.

anyways, just some things that come to mind, im sure there are more but i cant think of anymore right now. ill see you next week ed.
