| I have played them both.
To me, the 6310 Z plays and feels more like a B6 than the S42.
It has, to me, a thinner sound than either the B6 or the S42.
I think the S42 is a little stiffer than the B6 with a little more centered sound.
In my opinion the 6310 Z does not favorably compare with the S42 or the B6.
This is re: an S42, not the S42L
Also, there is just something about how the Schilke FEELS in your hands.
