The Holton T101 is the absolute best recreation of a Bach Mt. Vernon
that money can buy . The T101 actually plays better than the Bachs that they make today. I'm curious does your 90's era T101 have one tuning slide brace or two. The earlier T101 s had two braces just like a Bach
but at some point Holton started putting just one brace on them , It doesn't matter because they are both great playing horns.
As to why more players aren't using them , I could not say , BUT I do
know this ; everybody that plays one says the same thing "GREAT HORN"
