The Bach/Monette frankenhorn is a dream. It plays and sounds a lot like an early Monette. I had the pleasure of listening to a VERY good musician play it, and then switch off to a recently made Prana STC 1. The sound was surprisingly similar, except that the Prana's sound was much richer (more overtones). It's especially nice for festival and school auditions where you aren't behind a screen and are subject to what Monette calls the "visual ear."
