Sequenza X has been in Hakan's repertoire for some time now and I agree that it's VERY effective both from a listening and programming perspective.
Great to hear that he's touring it and that you heard him play it.
Many of us are afraid of Sequenza X because, at first glance, the challenge of learning it seems daunting -- 6 pages of black notes! I've found, however, that if you break each individual cell down and work it through that way that's it's not that hard to play, and believe that the addition to your repertoire of such an interesting piece (by a MAJOR composer -- we like to whine that we don't have Beethoven, etc., to play) is well worth the effort.
