If you are looking for a 50's era vintage C trumpet, don't overlook those wonderful Benge C trumpets! If Eldon Benge hadn't died tragically in a car wreck a block or so from home in 1960, the Benge trumpets might have been the brand folks played today instead of Bach.
They are wonderful trumpets . . . and at better prices today than a comparable Mt. Vernon. The consistency issues are also virtually inexistent on the vintage Benges of the years when Eldon was alive!
