Yay!!! Music trivia!!! Ok... time to get the Norton scores out. Just a minute, now...Brahms and Schumann...they would be Vol. II...crumbs...no Brahms symphonies there. Excerpt books....

* Ok. Brahms 1: says trumpet in H, so it's in Bb (I hope...or it's for trumpets in B natural! And I've been playing it wrong!). 2 says trumpet in D, so in D; 3 says trumpet in F, so F (hmmm...major triad going on here)...but 4 says E; a tritone from 1. Ok. Schumann...number 1 in Bb; 2 in c...3 ahhh, I get it! First five notes of a Bb scale, but what's the #4 about, Mr. Brahms?*

Hah Hah! Just realized this after I posted! Sharp 4...number four...if you abbreviate and use the symbol they look the same...Brahms, you sly devil, you. All pivoting around 5...the five wounds...the figure 5...you guys...hah. What a world.
