Everyone's name ended with a vowel. My first teacher Antonino DelCampo, was friendly with Frankie( Avalonne)Avalone's manager. He sat through one of my lessons. Mario Lanza was a DelCampo student. I played in groups with the Genovese family........the musicians, not the crime family
I did some work over at the Cameo-Parkway studios. That's where Fabian, Chubby Checker, Jimmy Darren,Frankie Avalon and many others recorded in the 50s and 60s before Sigma Sound took over the studio scene. <---- what a fantasic description......thanks so much for sharing. I can just picture it and hear it all.
I can hear that melody now, thank goodness Jimmy didn't play it on his bagpipes <------ now that is just too funny! LOL.
