Thanks for the background information, will help put the piece into some musical context.

I intend to work this piece up for possible performance later in the year, once I know it a bit better, I will post some thoughts. On first play through it certainly seems accessible, aside from having one movement in 6 flats and another in 5 sharps (not helped by transposing it the first time through - maybe it will work better on a C trumpet, as the part suggests ) - it should be an interesting one.
