| There were several people who picked up the "slack" after Goz died. This implies that he had every studio gig in town, and that was far from true. Uan Rasey was certainly there. Maynard was doing lots of studio in those days as well. Manny Klein and Claude Gordon were there too. I believe Al was still on the road in the 60s. I think everyone on Tutti Camaratta's Trumpets Trumpets album was a studio lead player (if you've never heard it, find it, buy it even if its an lp). I've got this information someplace in my head, so when it comes to me I'll edit this thing.
