Jon Stewart is a famous comedian who has his own show called "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central. Basically it is a fake news show making fun of current events. Jon is a great comedian and I think you would really like him in his element. The big deal about last night is that everyone the academy asked to host the big shin-dig turned it down (Billy Crystal, Chris Rock, Whoopie Goldberg, etc) and Jon made fun of the fact that he was hosting a show that he would never watch. He also made fun of himself being the eighth person asked after so many said no. Truly, I have never watched an Oscar show....ever. Since Jon was hosting, I had to take a peek. He did alright, but you could tell he was bit nervous and his style didn't fit well in Hollywood. The other catch for me was supporting Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He has had bit parts in quite a few movies and I always had a vibe about him that he should be playing major parts. VERY talented. Well, he won best actor for "Capote" and for that I am happy. The rest of the stuff didn't interest me at all.
Hey Mikey...speaking of wardrobe malfunctions.....did you catch Jon's joke about how these poor ladies in Hollywood have so little money that they can only afford clothing that barely covers their breasts? LOL I thought that was a good one.
