I woulodn't change a MP unless I am unconfortable with. Bach 1 1/4 does nots sound to me as a partuculary typical choice for jazz playing, but if it works fine for you it's OK. Myself I am orchestral player, performing rarely jazz pieces. Depends on what you want to look for in a MP. Are you clear on that? What is more important to you - big sound, high notes or something else. It seems to me that one can achieve aury sound with any MP, depending more on the way you play, than on the MP you use. What about the the horn you use?
