Hello everyone, I just discovered this forum and I must say it is a wonderful place. I have been playing the trumpet for a little over thirteen years as an amateur and I currently play a lacquer Bach Strad B-flat model 72 as my primary horn with a standard Monette B2 mouthpiece. I have been considering purchasing a new horn and am about 95% sure I am going with a Monette. With my head already spinning at the price I now find myself having a hard time choosing between the "Classic" model and the "Prana". I also am finding it hard to justify the cost for plating as it is very expensive IMO. Does anyone here own a raw brass Monette, and if so do you regret not getting it plated? Also if you own a raw brass monette could you please post a pic or two? Thanks so much and I look forward to your replies.
