Hello everyone from Canada

Good morning/afternoon/evening,

To be exact I live in L'Ange Gardien Quebec (not a seperatist)
Canada. 30 minutes north of Ottawa.

I've been playing trumpet for 2 years now, at the age of 39.
Still taking trumpet lessons from a very good retired school teacher.

My main interest in music is Jazz and Classical.
Miles Davis, Chick Corea (which I will go see in concert this Wednesday)
Actually any Fusion Jazz!

Classical= Gustav Mahler all the way!

As far as equipment...well I play a Conn Director, but maybe early next year I will shop around for a good quality (Pro) trumpet.
My list includes Conn Vintage One, Schilke (not sure which model), Getzen,
Lawler and Kanstul.
So far I tried a Vintage One and a Bach Stad. Personal favorite is the Vintage One. I still have lots of trumpets to try and still lots of time to decide. But I definitely want to try a Lawler.
You might find me a bit strange but I prefer dealing with the smaller companies rather than the Big Boys (Conn-Selmer, Yamaha). One day all of the trumpets will be outsource to Asian countries, with the large companies that is.
I think I will pay myself a visit down to NJ (Dillon Music Store) to try all the trumpets I can get my hands on.

I only heard good things about Lawler. hint hint hint.

I'm open to any suggestions from you guys about new trumpets.

Love to hear from you guys.

Thank you
Marc
