| methinks that they are having the two as care takers so that they can take their time and get a really good fit as md, the orchestra has acted in haste in the past and regretted it. as difficult as it is to get a conductor that is willing to put 14+ weeks with one group plus all the administrative and extra-musical bs that an american md has to deal with and one with the right repitoire, and chemistry with the orchestra. i have some hopes on who i would like to see in that position, wolff, lopez-cobos are near the top of my list along with a couple that are older mauser and dochnanyi sp?) and some that i dont want to see in that position. (will keep those to self)
