After giving up on my formal studies of the trumpet I sold my Monette C. Now getting back in to playing, I find myself missing that horn.

I haven't the foggiest idea where that particular horn is, but have considered buying a new one.

Now I should point out I now play mostly at church and a rare wedding. Although we field an orchestra, much of the music is more "praise band" type stuff. Regardless of the genre of music, it is all written in Bb.

The orchestral trumpet player in me wants a monette C, the practical part of me wants a Monette Bb, since although I could forsee a use for a C trumpet, the actual use vs. the Bb would be minimal.

My current horns, the C is the "weakest link", being a Kanstul 1510A (I think...Jason Harrelson has it right now) I had my bach 37 modified by jason harrelson and love it. I should point out that I am excited to get that c trumpet back after he has worked on it.

Am I smoking crack for considering buying a monette c? should I get a monette Bb?

What is a guy to do??????
