The single case is nice: not incredibly heavy and very good protection. Depending on what you have on the second spot, the double can be very heavy. I had one friend who had a B-flat and C Ajna II in his double case and it almost killed me when I carried it for him once.

Although Monette recommends his own cases, you might check out Marcus Bonna cases. My old teacher used a MB single case for his Raja and it worked fine. The XLT is closer to the dimensions of a "conventional" intrument, so you have a bit more freedom in what case you choose. Remember that if you go with a non-Monette case, make sure there is ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE ON THE BELL.
