My wife play tested an 8445, 8445G, and 8445S; the GS wasn't available. All played very well and very consistently from one to the next. For her, the 8445G had the tone she desired, so that one came home two years ago.
Mouthpiece choice also makes a difference. The piece she uses on her Bb 8335RGS - GR 3HC* - sounds fine on the C, but one suited to the horn - a GR 3MX, in this case - makes a noteable difference (pardon the pun
