I play pretty much the same mouthpiece from the beginning to the end of pieces. I change for the higher horns and flugel, and that's it.
Lew Soloff carries an amazing array of mouthpieces. Do you?

I'm still finding my way around this board so please bear with this old -timer.
During the 34th Annual University of Pittsburgh Jazz Seminar on Nov 6,2004,
Lew was seen reaching in his right lower coat pocket for a mouthpiece.
He did this often and although I cannot attest to how many pieces he had in his coat pocket,I can say with certainty he had E Pluribus Unum.
