Manny Laureano has a spectacular aura about
Oh, good grief!

For THIS they kick kids out of school? We sang parody songs ALL THE TIME when I was a kid. We weren't stupid enough to sing them in class, even quietly but, Sister Mary Francis, give me a break!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the burning of the school
We have murdered all the teachers and we've broken every rule
We have killed off all the principals that ever ran the school
And their teeth came marching out!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Teacher hit me with a ruler!
I bopped her on the bean with a Russian submarine
And her teeth came marching out!

On June 30th, the last day of school in New York we'd sing

"No more pencils, no more books,
No more teachers dirty looks!"

Good grief... have we truly become so penny wise and pound foolish that we punish for creative silliness that means nothing. Nothing! It's a far cry from the sorts of things that actually do lead to violence like direct threats or witnessed statments.
