Nice to see what's going on over on the other side of the world. dedalus, congrats on this piece, it sounds like a workout. Would you be so kind as to greet Geoffrey for me? It's literally been 21 years since I've seen him. When the MO went to Melbourne, he was kind enough to play extra for us on the Pines of Rome and was the nicest guy. In fact, all the Aussies I met that played that piece with us were wonderful.
It was after that tour that I said if there was one place on earth that I felt as comfortable as I did here at home it was Australia. Melbourne was a bit rainy then but a great place, nonetheless. Everyone I met whether on the street or at the concert hall was nothing but nice and friendly to me.
Your season coming up in July looks enviable and I hope you have a rollicking time!
