| Louis Davidson also wrote "Trumpet Techniques" and I think it's finally been re-published. It was out-of-print for a long time so I have a copy of the limited Kinko's Edition. I'll buy a legitimate copy now that it's in print again.
G. Armand Porret wrote the Bordogni transposition book. I believe he was principal of the Paris Opera. He wrote it for Foveau and Sabarich for use with their students and the Paris Conservatoire.
Also, don't forget the Tony Plog books. There is also Roy Poper's book on the James Stamp methods. Maurice Andre wrote a couple of books and he had a brief career as a principal trumpeter. Oh, and the Brandt book. Brandt played principal in a Russian Orchestra. I don't know the dates specifically but there was an ITG article about him a while ago. |
