Schagerl Piccolo Trumpet

I just picked up a Schagerl piccolo trumpet, the design of the Schilke P5-4. Just wanted to give it a plug on TM.

This thing is the best piccolo I've ever tried. I was at the music store where I purchsed it for 3 hours trying Schilke's (what I owned before), Yamaha, the new Bach, Kanstul...they all felt like toys compared to this great horn. It's lacquer with a very well designed trigger on the third valve slide. I'm playing it with my 1 1/2C 117 bb mtpc and the high F's and G's just fly out! The sound is amazingly deep yet very brilliant.

It's called the Schagerl Eclipse...if you're interested, find Karl Schagerl at the ITG Conference. Also, Lee Walkowich is great to work with, and you'll find him at Karl's table also.
