| That picture was taken in 1966, I think, at the recording sessions for the Bach Suites. Hank was playing a funky Couesnon piccolo, I used a Bach with an A gizmo. Lou played a C trumpet. Casals wanted the trumpets to shimmer, not blare. It is a very different approach to the work.
