From my experience last week trying a BUNCH of mouthpieces, the Prana seemed to have more of what Alex called "zing" to them. The slots on the Prana feel a bit smaller, and so upper register can be tricky. The finish is also different, too. The Pranas are scratched/brushed gold, where the non-Pranas are bright gold. And the cup does not have the circular machining lines in on on the Prana, either. All those things, I think, combine to make some (at least) of the difference.
