| I use Bach 3C for legit work and a Giardinelli 7M medium cup for lead play. That combination has always worked for me. Besides, doing lead work on a medium cup instead of a shallow cup also gives a much better sound in my opinion.
I've also played the Schilke 14A4a for a year, but I didn't like the sound of it and I found it hard to switch between the 3C and the 14A4a
So, I would find a medium cup mouthpiece for lead work if I were you.
