Dave is a mega busy player, but I think he just retired from teaching and is cutting back a bit on his schedule in general.
The first time I met him, we were both doing the Teaneck First night show. He had a Dixie band, I was with a Klezmer band.
Teaneck over the years has had some great players live here. But the worst is when I went from being the best player on my block to the worst. Faddis moved in down the street.
