I second this suggestion. I've played this for the last several years at Easter and everyone always enjoys it. It's simple technically, goes together with the accompanist on the first time through, and is very flashy. The version that I have is for soprano and piano (high voice), and has the High C at the end.
The other good thing about this is getting to listen to some really great soprano's when you are considering how to interpret it.
