| Hi Trent. I have the very horn for you!!!! My custom picc was especialy built for playing number 2 on by Mark Bennet, one of the finest piccolo specialists from the UK.
It is a long model, straight picc with a chopped down Schertzer rotary valve section and a pure copper seamless bell made by Wedgewood with a spring loaded bell tuning slide. The lead pipe is from a Getzen. The instrument has had some egonomic and cosmetic alterations made by Leigh and is beautifully finished in the signature 1st Class brass scratched and polished 24 carrat gold.
It is a real showmans trumpet - looks incredible and sounds as sweet as sugar. It is way to good for most of the work I do on picc in studios and as a treble in shows. This instrument belongs on stage.
I could arrange a loan, although this instrument will be up for sale just as soon as Leigh can complete my order for a new Eclipse picc! ;)
I guess that the component parts and construction costs of this instrument add up to in excess of £4000 - it is a beauty!
Congrats on your new dealership by the way. I hope the production line will be able to cope with the huge demand that I'm sure you will be creating.
All the best. Noel.
