Just give it some time. I recently switched to a V1 about 4 months ago and couldn't be hap but pier. It was a big switch from my Bach (37) but well worth it. I have found it to be a VERY versatile horn. I have used it on everything from 2nd on a show, principal with a wind ensemble and I am now using it to play lead with the national tour of "Hairspray." I find the V1 to have better overall intonation and enjoy the shorter throw of the valves. Also, I am able to get a much wider range of colors...from warm and round to focused and bright (without spreading at all). Just my 2 cents but I think you made an excellent choice. Oh, one other thing. I was playing a bach 3C but found it didn't suit the horn so I switched to Warburtons. Again, a switch i will never regret. My advice.....stick with it and relax. Don't try and play the horn.....let it play itself.
