| I have a 1921 Conn 10A Vocal cornet with Bb and C slides. It plays quite well in both keys. However, I would hasten to add, it doesn't play like a modern instrument in either key. I think Conn did an admirable job of splitting the difference and sacrificing the same amount of performance in both keys to make a cornet that plays well in either.
